(Director's artistic note): Kat founded Bl!nk Modern Dance Company with the soul purpose of being able to create and bring the art of dance to the Denver/ Colorado community. Bl!nk started as a small idea but has grown to a full company. Kat gives all the credit to her dear friend Ian who unfortunately passed last year. Ian played a big support in Kat’s life and recommended she start her own company where she felt she can grow as an artist. Bl!nk’s name evolved from a collection of thoughts and ideas mainly inspired by graffiti artist; Banksy, who hid an elephant in a room of art telling people to not blink, or you’ll miss the big picture. The upside down “!” stands for Ian.

Megan sustained a traumatic brain injury and multiple physical injuries at the age of nineteen when she was in a car accident. She was told by doctors dancing again may be an impossibility, but with the support of her family, multiple therapy services, and determination she went on to not only dance again, but tour internationally performing in professional stage shows with Disney. Megan is a certified DanceAbility Instructor and performs with local dance companies Life/Art Dance Ensemble, Lost Walks, as well as Bl!nk. Megan is proud to be a part of Bl!nk Modern Dance Company and strives to empower dancers of all abilities to reach for their artistic endeavors.
